Connectivity error when accessing LimsPlus - SQLSTATE '01000' error message.

Individual tries to launch LimsPlus and receives an SQLSTATE '01000' error message.


Connection failed:
SQLState: '01000'
SQL Server error: 10061
[microsoft][odbc sql server driver][tcp/ip sockets] connectionopen (connect()).
connection failed
SQLState: '08001'
SQL Server error: 17
[microsoft][odbc sql server driver][tcp/ip sockets] SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

Check the ODBC Settings in the Control Panel
ensure they are correct and you can connect to the Database.  If you are unable to access the database through the system DSN then you have a connectivity issue.

* This case was resolved by entering the IP {Internet Protocol} Address of the Server instead of the actual Server Name.  This would indicate that the Domain Server was not resolving the name properly. Contact your System Administrator if any changes were made recently.
